Virgin Gaming launches new premium service

Virgin Gaming, the online gaming service venture from capital conglomerate Virgin Group and gaming website WorldGaming.com, is to open up a new paid-for ‘premium’ service for its members.

Virgin Gaming Premium will allow subscribers to access a revamped site interface, new product features, benefits, cash prizes and premium partner offers.

Virgin Gaming’s 2.7 million membership base can access a 30-day free trial of the service with an option to then remain enrolled for $4.99 per month.

Members of the new premium service will receive new leaderboards with a range of prizes, rewards and tournaments on offer.

In addition, members can also create custom leagues to allow friends to compete for free or cash prizes.

The Gamer Training Institute will allow members to pick up tips and advice from gaming professionals, while the premium service will offer a range of discounts and prizes from Virgin Gaming’s roster of partners.

“Virgin Gaming is built by gamers for gamers, and we have taken extra care to make sure our service is extremely valuable for all members,” Virgin Gaming’s chief executive officer, Rob Segal, said.

“Virgin Gaming Premium is a bigger, more enhanced version of our current service, with hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes, all new friend leagues, and partnerships with hot lifestyle brands.

“We believe we are fulfilling a unique need in games today by allowing friends to assemble their own private leagues and we are hard at work to deliver a world-class experience for all of our players.”
