The Greek press is reporting that Las Vegas Sands is considering a resort in Athens.
That would not be a surprise given that LVS has indicated it will look at a number of European cities and that it had considered an Athens airport area casino some years ago.
Having said that, Athens is a fairly small and financially poor metro and Greek politics can be mired by local interests, such as existing gaming operators who might not want an international giant moving in.
