Gamesys, Playtech, Gala Coral and LeoVegas Secure Deals

Gamesys, Playtech, Gala Coral and LeoVegas all hit the headlines with partnerships of various shapes and sizes.

FremantleMedia UK have signed a deal with London-based gaming operator Gamesys that will see them develop an exclusive bingo game as well as a series of slots and other instant-win type casino games based on the hit TV show ‘Take Me Out.’

The shows host Paddy McGuiness will also feature in the new games, where his not too shabby mug will be on display as well as providing audio content for the game.

The first product to be launched is a Take Me Out bingo game and it will be available at Jackpotjoy at the end of the month.

Simon Murphy, Head of Gaming for FremantleMedia UK, commented, “Shows like Take Me Out have broad national appeal and players can easily identify with both the format and the brand. We are very excited that the Take Me Out games will reach such a wide audience via the Gamesys Group who are the perfect partner for this initiative with one of our most proudly owned shows.”

Lee Fenton, Chief Operating Officer at Gamesys said, “This is a great opportunity for us to take a much loved UK TV brand and together with FremantleMedia, develop a suite of games that will stay true to the program’s format as well creating exceptional game experiences for our customers.”

Take Me Out is currently occupying a primetime Saturday evening slot on ITV, and it’s the latest in a long line of television shows to be turned into Gamesys products such as Deal or No Deal, The Million Pound Drop and Golden Balls.

Playtech Create New Tablet User Interface With Gala Coral Interactive

Playtech have reached agreement with Gala Coral Interactive to launch a new and exciting tablet format.

The new piece of kit is based on Playtech’s Mobile Hub technology and has been designed to be a vastly improved player friendly experience than any other design. The interface was deigned by Gala Interactive in collaboration with the men in white coats at Playtech’s HQ.

The deal takes advantage of Playtech’s new development framework that sees the outfit providing licenses with a dedicated team who specialize on the design, development and creation of interfaces designed to maximize player experience.

Eran Sharar, Playtech’s Head of Mobile, commented, “We are very excited to launch the new tablet offering for Gala Interactive. The new mobile offering features an intuitive design for tablet users whilst offering the most comprehensive range of bingo and slots games in the market. This ensures Gala Interactive’s product for tablet devices is second to none. I’m sure the benefits of this innovation and Playtech’s new model will benefit Gala and will support its future growth in one of the most exciting channels in our industry.”

LeoVegas Partner With UK’s Tabloids

Mobile casino operator LeoVegas is launching a multi-million pound marketing campaign in the UK that it hopes will make them one of the leading players in the mobile casino market.

The deal sees the Swedish outfit marry up with The Sun and Mirror newspapers, and the campaign will be led and managed by mobile marketing agency Somo.

“The UK market is very crowded but we are looking at innovative ways to cut through and continue the rapid growth that the business has seen in the Nordic markets over the last two years,” CEO Johan Styren told eGaming Review.

“We will be approaching the UK market from a ‘mobile first’ perspective, something that is very much a part of the DNA of the business. LeoVegas is built on the idea that one shouldn’t accept the industry norm and we plan on shaking things up in the UK in 2014.”

LeoVegas has also recently recruited ex-Virgin Games commercial director Joshua Morris and ex-Game Account head of affiliates Shenaly Amin to its ranks.
