BOOKMAKERS Paddy Power had us all fooled at the BRIT Awards 2014 with their very own Daft Punk lookalikes on Thursday night.
Donning their famous helmets, the impostors caused a mega storm on the red carpet by whipping off their trousers Chippendale style to reveal a fetching pair of Paddy Power’s world famous Lucky Pants.
After mingling with pop royalty including Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding and One Direction, it’s safe to say Paddy Power had a whale of a time at music’s biggest night of the year.
Daft Punk ended up being very lucky indeed as the French duo picked up the Best International group at the BRITs.
Their musical comeback last year saw the Around The World hit makers release the smash hit Get Lucky, which became the first million-seller released in 2013 and the most streamed song in Spotify’s history.
Neither Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter were there to accept the award, but singing legend Nile Rogers scooped the gong on their behalf.
Nile and Pharrell Williams – and of course his eccentric Vivienne Westwood hat – closed the show with a performance of their infectious smash hit Get Lucky and Pharell’s Happy.
Which we certainly were by the end of their toe-tapping performance.
