John Boyle, founder, owner and chief executive officer of Irish independent bookmaker Boylesports, has completed the purchase of the firm’s headquarters at Finnabair Business Park in Dundalk.
According to The Irish Times newspaper, Boyle agreed the €1.9 million ($2.6 million) purchase during an auction in Dublin. The property had a reserve price of about €1.5 million.
A Boylesports spokesperson said that the purchase made “financial sense” in the current economic climate.
The company has also expressed its interest in purchasing a number of its betting shops across Ireland.
