IGT expands VLT supply deal with Oregon State Lottery

US gaming supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has agreed a deal to provide new video lottery terminals (VLTs) to the Oregon State Lottery, with the company now supplying more than 40 per cent of the market. IGT will provide 850 new VLTs to the Oregon State Lottery, in addition to the 1,500 VLT’s that it already provides the lottery.

IGT said that the new deal represented a “big win” for the company, which now holds more than 40 per cent market share in the Oregon State Lottery program.

“As a leader in the VLT space, IGT remains focused on expanding into every regulated gaming jurisdiction, bringing the best possible content and technology to players who demand the ultimate gaming experience,” said Eric Tom, IGT’s executive vice president of global sales. “On a global level, VLT markets continue to grow rapidly and IGT’s recent deal with the Oregon State Lottery is just one example of how the company is on the forefront of the VLT market’s growth.”

IGT’s line-up of VLTs offers games such as Vamps and Cats, both of which are also top performers on casino floors nationwide. In addition to the slot line-up, poker is also scheduled for release in Oregon, giving fans even more opportunities to play and win.

In addition to its agreement with IGT for new VLTs, the Oregon State Lottery will upgrade 2,700 IGT Trim Line and Game King machines already in the field, with a new “best of the best” game set.
