LottoInteractive partners with GeoComply USA

Santa Monica-based mobile lottery gaming platform provider LottoInteractive has established a partnership with geolocation specialist, GeoComply to be its exclusive geolocation solution provider. The deal will see the GeoComply solution integrated onto the LottoInteractive platform.

GeoComply, which is licensed by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, offers regulators and operators solutions for the geolocation of online users. Since New Jersey’s launch of internet gaming in November 2013, GeoComply has stated that it has provided well over five million geolocation results for its customers.

“Balancing the serious criminal liabilities for Lottery Operators from accidentally taking play from neighboring States with the need to enable simple sign-up and log-in for players, requires a very sophisticated and state-of-the-art technical geolocation solution. We are very pleased to be the first Lottery platform to have secured the services of GeoComply in the development of an integrated solution to ensure both compliance and the commercial success of our customers,” said Brian Ward, CEO of LottoInteractive.

LottoInteractive joins the likes of Bally Technologies,, Optimal Payments, Secure Trading, NYX Gaming Group and Pala Interactive to partner with GeoComply and they become the first lottery platform to use the company.

GeoComply reported previously that about 95 percent of eligible players within the borders of New Jersey had their physical locations successfully verified. The state of New Jersey is working on improving online gambling player geolocation. Gaming revenues have been a bit lower than expected in New Jersey so far, with geolocation problems cited as one of the reasons for the disappointment. January gambling revenues for the state were $9.5 million, but with geolocation improving, that number is expected to grow.
