Online betting and gaming company Dafabet has agreed a deal to become the title sponsor of the 2014 World Snooker Championship.
Dafabet will become the fourth gaming company to serve as title sponsor of the tournament, following last year’s sponsor Betfair and previous supporters 888.com and BetFred.com.
The World Snooker Championship will run from April 19 to May 5 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.
The tournament will feature the world’s top 16 players, as well as 16 qualifiers, competing for a record top prize of £300,000 (€360,000/$500,000). Dafabet’s sponsorship will boost the overall prize fund to more than £1.2 million.
Ronnie O’Sullivan will return to defend the title he won for a fifth time last year.
