Intralot will supply, set up, maintain and support new lottery software platforms and terminals throughout Ireland.
The appointment comes shortly after iGaming Business reported that PLI had completed the purchase of the licence to run the Irish National Lottery.
The Intralot deal will include the provision of the operator’s LOTOS O/S On-line Gaming Computer System for the operation and administration of lottery and instant games over the retail POS network, as well as internet and mobile channels.
The technology suite will also include Intralot’s CRM solution and LOTOS Horizon content management software platform.
Intralot will also supply PLI with over 4,000 of its Photon terminals, which are based on its Icon Digital Imaging Technology.
In addition, Intralot has also moved to set up Intralot Ireland, an operation that will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of these platforms, as well as offering maintenance, support and repair services, and ongoing consultancy.
Extra options from Intralot’s product portfolio have also been made available to PLI for the duration of the 10-year contract.
“Intralot’s state-of-the-art Photon terminals will be rolled-out to retailers across the country to provide a more interactive touch screen experience and implementing its range of LOTOS systems to underpin greater game and channel innovation,” PLI chief executive officer designate Dermot Griffin said.
John Pantoleon, group chief operating officer of Intralot, added: “I am confident that our global experience and cutting-edge technology together with the operational capabilities of Premier Lotteries Ireland will yield excellent results for the benefit of Ireland and bring exciting gaming experiences to the Irish players.”
