Dragonfish, the B2B division of online gaming operator 888 Holdings, has agreed a four-year extension to its supplier agreement with Cashcade, the online bingo subsidiary of bwin.party digital entertainment. As a result of the deal, bwin.party’s leading bingo brands including Foxy Bingo and Cheeky Bingo will continue to run on the Dragonfish platform.
The deal has been completed despite bwin.party suggesting earlier this year that it may look to renegotiate or end the partnership, with the previous contract due to expire in May.
Head of Dragonfish Yaniv Schwartz said he was delighted to renew the long-standing partnership.
“This will allow bwin.party’s customers to continue to enjoy the Dragonfish bingo platform’s rich set of content, unmatched mobile proposition and entertaining features,” Schwartz added.
bwin.party director of games Golan Shaked commented that Dragonfish had proved to be an excellent partner, allowing the operator to establish the UK’s most popular bingo brands.
He explained that the extension would allow the company to focus on implementing its growth strategy designed to strengthen the product offering, increase its mobile footprint and widen its market segments.
“Under the new agreement, we will look to secure a unique point of differentiation and potentially open up other revenue streams by introducing some of the most successful bwin.party proprietary games onto the Dragonfish bingo platform,” he revealed.
“The agreement will also support the execution of bwin.party’s tactical shift from ‘volume to value’ by enabling it to focus on developing its sports and poker products in-house,” Shaked concluded.
Dragonfish has been working with Cashcade for a number of years, since before the business was acquired by PartyGaming in 2009.
