Former Aristocrat chief Bali joins Gaming Realms

Mobile and social gaming venture Gaming Realms has appointed former Aristocrat Technologies president and chief executive officer Atul Bali as a non-executive director.

Bali, who will join the company’s board with immediate effect, is currently serving as president of Real Networks’ games division, a position he was appointed to last month.

In the role, Bali oversees a diverse group that includes direct-to-consumer online, mobile and social game development, as well as cross platform publishing, licensing and technology.

Bali, who joined Real Networks from Aristocrat Technologies, also spent time as chief executive officer of XEN Group (now Disruptive Tech) and also held various senior positions at GTECH.

Michael Buckley, executive chairman of Gaming Realms, said: “We are delighted that Atul Bali has joined the board of Gaming Realms.

“He is one of the very few executives with deep experience in land, online and social based games and lotteries on all platforms.

“His broad regulatory knowledge and worldwide experience in joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions will bring a unique perspective to Gaming Realms as it expands in the future.”
