Sporting Solutions joins European lottery trade body

Sporting Solutions will join the European State Lotteries and Toto association (EL), the continent’s largest national lottery trade body, as an associate member this week.

Their application for membership was ratified on June 4th by the General Assembly, the governing body of the European Lotteries, at its annual congress in Lisbon, Portugal.

The decision is a milestone for Sporting Solutions, who now provide their data services and trading expertise on a number of high profile contracts in the international lottery sector.

Membership will ensure Sporting Solutions is well positioned to provide assistance around the on-going changes to lottery regulation across Europe, with partners able to benefit from a fully customisable suite of products and a proven path for rapid integration.

EL has 80 members from 46 European countries. All 28 EU member states are represented, and the association’s EU members contribute more than €20 billion per year to state budgets for the funding of sporting, cultural and social projects, as well as research and other causes of general interest.

Ronnie Whelan, Business Development Director of Sporting Solutions, said: “We’re delighted Sporting Solutions has been accepted as European Lotteries’ latest member. We are expanding our range of customers and lotteries represent a key growth area for our business.

“Our own experience and market-leading skills in data management, modelling, automation, pricing and sports trading means we will be ideally placed to assist in the growth of this industry, and we have a huge amount to offer.

“More national lotteries are looking to adopt sports betting and high-level software and data services to capitalise on both new regulation and an increased appetite in regulated betting and gaming across Europe.

Sporting Solutions is firmly established as the pre-eminent provider of trading services to the global sports betting and lottery industries, covering the full betting lifecycle including event creation, pre-match and in-play pricing, and resulting.

All Sporting Solutions’ data services are available through a single point of integration to its ground-breaking cloud-based Connect Platform, which also delivers trading software tools on demand.
