Sportradar extends data partnership with Belgian Pro League

Sports and betting-related data company Sportradar has extended its data partnership with the Belgium Pro League top-tier club football competition.

The extended deal will run for two years, from the 2014-15 season until 2015-16.

Sportradar will remain the official sports data partner of the Pro League and will be granted the rights to use, market and sub-licence all pre-match and live data from the Pro League to the worldwide betting market.

In addition to the range of data solutions targeted at the betting industry and the firm’s fraud prevention services, Sportradar will also supply the Pro League with content solution products to help enhance the information and analysis provided to media partners.

“By unlocking the potential of all the data in our matches, we can provide more entertainment and more engagement for all our fans,” Pro League general director Ludwig Sneyers said.

“This was our objective and Sportradar have been helping us do just that in recent years.”

Carsten Koerl, chief executive officer of Sportradar, added: “Anyone who follows Belgian football or the rise to prominence of Belgian footballers worldwide will be only too aware of how exciting the sport has become in that country.

“We are delighted that the Belgian Pro League have decided to re-sign with us and have allowed us to support them as they develop the attractiveness of their football to the betting and the media markets worldwide.

“Our range of innovative and sophisticated products and services will enhance the attractiveness of the Pro League to bookmakers, broadcasters and ultimately the fans.”
