Las Vegas-based sportsbook software supplier Metric Gaming has appointed Peter Bertilsson as its new president and CEO, with the former Ongame managing director relinquishing his role as chairman of the company. He takes over the position from Metric founder Martin de Knijff, who in turn becomes head of business and product development and remains a director.
The company said Bertilsson will move to Las Vegas at the end of the month and work from the sports-betting supplier’s headquarters.
Following his appointment, Bertilsson said: “Metric Gaming is one of the most innovative companies I have seen in my twenty years in this industry. It has been a pleasure serving as Metric’s chairman, and I am thrilled with this opportunity to take over the reins as CEO and help this company reach its full and tremendous potential.”
Bertilsson brings with him a wealth of experience in the online gaming industry, having served in leadership roles with the likes of Boss Media, bwin Games and Ongame in the past.
