Youwin Sportsbook complaint: $1,500 in limbo

youwinimageA Youwin (SBR rating C+) player has submitted a complaint with SBR against the betting site. He originally joined Youwin with the intention of playing on their poker network: Youwin is part of the Merge poker network, and is the only betting site to allow players from Costa Rica to access the poker network, he claims. He has $1,500 he has been unable to withdraw.

He has stated that he joined Youwin in April of 2014, keen on participating in medium to high stake multi-table poker tournaments. He has reported that he successfully withdrew $3,500 a “couple of times” without incident.

On 2 August 2014, the player claimed to have asked for $1,500 to be paid to his Neteller account. After two days of not receiving his funds, he contacted Youwin via live help and was told that his account is undergoing a random security audit. He expected the process to go smoothly, but after two weeks his payout request was still pending. At this point he asked what was going on; Youwin allegedly stated they wished to call the player. The player claimed that he was asked a series of non-account related questions – questions that did not pertain to the nature of his poker play or account activity – and that nothing came of the telephone call.

After not hearing anything further from Youwin, the player filed his SBR complaint.

Sportsbook Review has followed up with Youwin to discuss the situation.

Sportsbook Review conducted an interview with Win United Ltd CEO John Overett in November of 2012. On September 28th, 2011, Win United Ltd acquired Sportsbook.com’s (SBR rating D-) non-US based, rest of world players.

Youwin players with feedback are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint.
