GameAccount Network appoints Tom Grant as head of legal

Gaming technology supplier GameAccount Network has confirmed the appointment of Tom Grant to the newly-created role of head of legal. Grant joins from gaming specialist law firm Harris Hagan, where he spent two and a half years as a partner, and previously served as senior legal counsel for London-listed operator Rank Group for over five years.

GameAccount chief executive Dermot Smurfit said that Grant had directly advised the supplier on a number of issues in the past, and combined an in-depth knowledge of the iGaming industry’s regulatory landscape and a familiarity with GameAccount’s business, culture and personnel.

“This is a very positive appointment as we continue to expand our influence on the world stage and through our Simulated Gaming solution enable casino operators to effectively lift their casino floor and represent it online, with all of the associated benefits of increase patron visitation on-property and the generation of meaningful levels of new income from an online channel,” Smurfit explained.

Before joining Rank Group in 2006, Grant worked as a solicitor for Lewis Skillin and Nabarro LLP.
