Odobo chief executive Ashley Lang has told TotallyGaming.com that he expects the Odobo Play app to go live on mobile and tablet devices in the coming weeks.
The B2C marketplace is already available on browsers, but will soon offer the HTML5 game development platform and marketplace company’s growing list of products to customers via a native app on the iTunes store.
The Gibraltar-based company hopes that iTunes will approve the app by January 2015 at the latest.
“Odobo Play gives developers the opportunity to take an active role in the promotion of their games with gaming operators and gain access to an additional new revenue stream from player referrals,” Lang, who founded Odobo in 2011, told TotallyGaming.com.
“Who better than the developers themselves to market the games they have designed?
“HTML5 allows cross-platform gaming, so it makes sense that Odobo Play will soon be available via an app on mobile devices.”
Odobo Play allows customers to go to games directly and then choose which operator they will play through.
Odobo’s operators include Bet365, Betfair, Unibet and Coral, and they have 28 active game developers.
Odobo Play will offer customers the opportunity to play for real or virtual money, meaning that gamers in jurisdictions where real-money stakes are illegal can also partake.
