Nevada online poker revenue falls again in October

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has reported that revenue generated by online poker operations in the US state fell again in October, following on from the market’s worst monthly performance of the year during September.

Revenue collected by licensed online poker operators in Nevada amounted to just $665,000 (€532,085) in October, an amount which is now the lowest monthly total of this year.

The slump in revenue comes after the state posted its previously lowest monthly total of $693,000 in September.

October will also be the final month with three online wagering websites live in the state, with Ultimate Gaming having already opted to exit the Nevada market.

Despite the drop in online poker revenue, Nevada was able to post an increase in total gaming win during the month.

Casino gaming revenue for the month totalled $913.6 million, which represents a rise of around 4.3% on the $901.7 million generated by licensed operators in September.

That said, the total gaming win for October is some way behind the $954.3 million generated in the corresponding month last year.
