London-based slot games developer The Games Company has released two more HTML5 games through its partnership with Odobo, both of which have gone live with operator bet365. The two new games, KGB Bears and Light Racers, are the fourth and fifth slot games to be rolled out via the Odobo Marketplace.
Hans Winkelmann, managing director and co-founder of The Games Company, said: “We are very excited to be pushing the capability of HTML5. There is now no difference between the quality of our games in Flash and HTML5. Odobo has a great technology base, which has allowed us to rapidly distribute our games.”
KGB Bears is a cold war themed, 5-reel slot game featuring a cast of four undercover spies who happen to be cuddly bears. Each bear shows off its unique spy gadgets in an engaging animated sequence.
Light Racers is a futuristic racing-themed, 5-reel slot game. The game features 3D animated symbols floating against a hi-tech, modern cityscape. The soundtrack has an electronic and cinematic style, with the game offering the potential for large payouts.
Both games run on the same engine but deliver individual playing experiences. The potential free-spins and multipliers available on every spin are displayed to the player before they take each turn. In KGB Bears the scatter symbol is a retro spy camera. In Light Racers this symbol is a futuristic floating orb.
When two scatters land in the same spin the reels slow down to heighten the thrill of the game. A third scatter symbol landing will trigger the free spins mode and bigger potential payouts.
“Our guys have really done a great job with optimising these tools, it is evident throughout the games – in the artwork, the audio and the way they play across mobile, tablet and desktop,” continued Winkelmann. “The Games Company is advancing what can be achieved with every new game. Our next release is going to be something pretty special.”
Glen Bullen, partner success manager at Odobo, added: “The Games Company is a genuinely proactive studio that invests time in finding out what is hot in the market to keep their finger on the pulse of player trends.
“They commit to projects 100% and turn around quality polished games, which satisfy the demand for exciting new games in a short timeframe. We’re thrilled to distribute their HTML5 games to operators such as bet365, Betfair, Coral and Unibet.”
The Games Company currently has a pipeline of over ten games, five of which are available through the Odobo Marketplace following integration with the Gibraltar-based platform provider in June. Road to Rio and Football Crazy are exclusive with Betfair, while Monster Mash is available via bet365 and Betfair.
