Pala partners JOINGO to launch mobile app for San Diego casino

The Pala Band of Mission Indians has partnered mobile technology provider JOINGO to launch a dedicated mobile app for its San Diego-based venue the Pala Casino Spa & Resort. Featuring loyalty account integration, interactive property details and a slot machine finder, the Android and iOS app is integrated with the operator’s existing Casino Management System.

This allows players to access the casino’s Privileges Club, providing real-time account balances, tier-point summaries and other account information.

It will also utilise JOINGO’s Places solution, a location-based marketing and analytics tool that uses geofencing technology to automatically push special offers to customer devices in specific areas of the casino.

The slot finder helps players find on-property slot machines based on name, denomination or game type.

“We are pleased to partner with Pala Casino Spa & Resort, which represents our first agreement with a tribal casino in Southern California,” JOINGO president Seamus McGill commented. “We are confident that our award-winning technology will help Pala achieve their marketing objectives of increasing guest visitation and reducing direct mail costs.”

Pala chief information officer Brian Turk said that the team at JOINGO had made it simple to integrate a sophisticated mobile solution into the casino’s existing marketing operations.

“By partnering with JOINGO, we’ve quickly launched a mobile app with state-of-the-art custom features,” Turk said. “Using JOINGO’s mobile platform, we will engage with our players in ways that have never been possible before.”

The tribe’s iGaming arm, Pala Interactive, recently became the latest company to enter the New Jersey online gaming market through a partnership with the Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa.
