British gambling operator Rank Group has appointed Martin Pugh as the new managing director of its Mecca Bingo brand.
According to various reports, Pugh will replace Mark Jones, who recently left the role to take up the position as managing director of the Grosvenor Casinos division of Rank Group.
Jones, who is due to join Rank on January 5, will be tasked with driving profit growth through the firm’s 93 UK retail clubs, as well as exploring opportunities to open three new facilities.
He will also work alongside Colin Cole-Johnson, director of digital and cross-channel services at Rank Group, in an effort to maximise Mecca Bingo’s multi-channel offering.
Jones will join Rank having previously held management positions with the likes of Camelot UK, Adpoints and Virgin Active.
