The betting operator and B2B platform provider France Pari continued to benefit from the strong performance of the French betting vertical in 2014 as revenues rose 46% to €17.9m during the year.
The figure compares with €12,5m in 2013 as the company’s B2B arm Sportnco’s revenues doubled to €1m in 2014.
Stakes recorded by France Pari reached €15.8m during 2014 against €10.8m in 2013 and gross profit margins of 19.6%.
The group said in a statement that the rise came from “the growth of the French online sports betting market which should reach nearly 30% in 2014, but also the launch of France Pari’s solutions for smartphones”.
France Pari launched nine mobile apps in 2014 and said it was planning to launch another 10 in 2015 as bets placed on mobiles accounted for 25% of all stakes recorded by the group in 2014, while bets placed through mobiles and tablets reached 40% of France Pari’s total volume in the final quarter of 2014.
The rise in B2B revenues comes from the company’s licensees’ strong performances, which include operators such as NetBet and Genybet in France; and the launch of PMU’s Belgian subsidiary during the second half of 2014.
Horse racing pari mutuel bets were down 9% to €1.05m in 2014 but B2B royalties and other fees earned by the Sportnco division rose to €1.05m in 2014 from €500,000 the previous year.
France Pari said it would continue to focus on mobile in 2015 and international business from outside its home market of France, with new and existing opportunities as priorities.
