The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has completed the launch of its new online gambling website, Play OLG.
The full launch comes after iGaming Business reported in November that the Canadian province had soft-launched the new service in order to gain feedback from select players in the OLG Winner’s Circle rewards programme.
PlayOLG is now live and available to all legal-aged players in Ontario.
Through the full launch, Ontario will join British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and all of the Atlantic Provinces as Canadian jurisdictions that offer online gaming.
John Wisternoff, vice-president of igaming at the OLG, said: “We are excited to launch PlayOLG, an important milestone in the modernisation of gaming in Ontario.
“For Ontarians who love the excitement of gaming, PlayOLG offers a safe and regulated alternative to grey market websites.”
PlayOLG will offers players a range of interactive casino-style games such as online slots and table games including blackjack, baccarat and roulette. Registered players will also be able to purchase LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX lottery tickets, in addition to ENCORE.
Additionally, the new PlayOLG service will offer customers a dedicated customer service team based in Ontario.
OLG noted that the new PlayOLG service will provide more money to the Government of Ontario for hospitals and other government priorities.
