Dublin-based studio KamaGames has announced a multi-year global partnership to become the official social casino partner of leading English football club Manchester United. Kama will develop mobile and online social casino games featuring the club’s branding, logo, imagery and themes, catering to the club’s estimated 659m supporters worldwide.
Manchester United Group managing director Richard Arnold said that the club was lucky enough to have a huge global following, and he understood the importance of engaging and entertaining this supporter base.
“KamaGames and their innovative products will allow us to do this in new and exciting ways,” he said. “We are delighted to welcome them as our first official global social casino games partner and look forward to creating a successful partnership for many years.”
Kama chief executive Danny Hammett commented: “KamaGames and Manchester United share a similar worldwide audience, and with this in mind, we are confident that the partnership will be a huge success for both organisations. We are proud and honoured to be associated with such a great team and iconic brand and we look forward to building a strong relationship with the club and its fans.”
Operating a number of social casino products including Pokerist and Roulettist, alongside casual titles Fantastic Fishies and Sea Battles Classic, KamaGames attracts over 1m daily active users across it products. It offers games on mobile, online and console devices, with more than 70m players worldwide. While based in Dublin, it has offices in the US, Russia, Dubai and Asia.
The partnership is the latest in a long line of commercial deals to be agreed by Manchester United. The club has agreed a number of unusual partnerships, signing up DHL as its official logistics partner, Malaysian snack brand Mister Potato as its official savoury snack partner and Russian airline Aeroflot as “the official carrier of Manchester United.”
Manchester United also has a long-running partnership with bwin.party, which serves as its official betting and gaming partner.
