Gaming solutions provider Scientific Games is to relocate its global corporate headquarters and establish its gaming division’s primary US manufacturing operations in the US gambling haven of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The move is effective immediately and the company’s global headquarters have been relocated on South El Camino Road in Las Vegas.
Gavin Isaacs, president and chief executive officer of Scientific Games, said that the move is a “natural step,” allowing the firm to remain closely connected to its network of customers.
“Selecting Las Vegas as our global headquarters is a natural step in the corporate evolution of Scientific Games,” Isaacs said.
“This move will allow us to stay closely connected to our worldwide base of gaming, lottery and interactive customers.”
Scientific Games has also begun to transition its WMS manufacturing operations from Waukegan in Illinois to Las Vegas.
The firm noted that it will enhance its operations in Las Vegas before scaling back manufacturing operations in Waukegan in order to ensure a smooth transition.
The Waukegan operation is expected to close before the end of the year.
“Equally important to our continued operating success is maintaining the continuity of our major operating divisions,” Isaacs said.
“To that end, the company’s Bally and Shuffle Master gaming development and support operations will continue to be based in Las Vegas, while our significant WMS game development, engineering and other gaming support operations, as well as our Interactive Division, will continue to be based at our Chicago Tech Campus.
“The operational headquarters of Scientific Games’ Lottery Division will remain in Alpharetta, Georgia.”
