The Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City has announced that it is to launch an online gambling platform in the US state of New Jersey through a partnership with SNG Interactive, a joint venture between Sportech and NYX Gaming Group.
Resorts will become the sixth online gaming service to launch in the state.
SNG Interactive will provide the platform to launch and run the ResortsCasino.com website, which will feature what Resorts described as the “largest selection of casino slots and table games in the state of New Jersey”.
The platform will launch on Friday and undertake a week-long testing period that will be monitored by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
If the regulatory body does not find any major faults with geo-restriction, player verification and payment processing, then Resorts will be able to fully launch its new service in the state next week.
Mark Giannantonio, chief executive officer of Resorts, said: “As New Jersey’s first casino destination, Resorts is committed to delivering the best-in-class online gaming experience in the Garden State by partnering with gaming leaders, including SNG Interactive, which houses Sportech and NYX Gaming Group.
“With SNG’s flexible gaming solutions and exclusive game content, we’re excited to introduce Europe’s industry-leading casino slots and table games to the United States market for the best online user experience.”
The Borgata, in partnership with online poker brand PartyPoker, is the current market leader in New Jersey, generating $3.8 million (€3.3 million) in revenue last month.
Licensed operators in the state collectively generated online gaming revenue of $11.6 million in January.
