Interactive gaming software and services provider GTECH has appointed James Hurley as its new senior vice-president of investor relations.
Hurley, who will begin his new role immediately, will lead the company’s investor relations and assume responsibility for overseeing analyst and investor engagement strategies.
He will also be responsible for promoting GTECH’s business objectives while enhancing the firm’s image and reputation in the investment community.
Hurley joins GTECH from fashion house Ralph Lauren, where he had been serving as vice-president of investor relations since 2007.
He has also held various roles at Bear Stearns, Telsey Advisory Group and JP Morgan.
Alberto Fornaro, chief financial officer at GTECH, said: “GTECH’s financial communications strategy must take into account the highly regulated environment in which it operates and the diversity of business segments it covers, a scale that will be further enlarged with the upcoming acquisition of International Game Technology (IGT).
“At Ralph Lauren, James established himself as a world-class communicator with a proven ability to navigate complex international business environments.
“I am confident that James will lead us in adopting industry best practices for a NYSE-listed company and successfully design and implement GTECH’s strategic and tactical investor relations plans.”
