Gaming solutions provider Scientific Games has boosted its position in the Canadian national market by entering into a partnership with Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC).
Under the deal, Scientific Games will supply ALC with its AEGIS NGS lottery gaming system and internet-based Sciplay iLottery gaming system.
Implementation is expected to begin this month, with conversion to the new system due to be completed by next year.
Scientific Games will also provide ongoing operational monitoring and maintenance support beginning mid-2017.
Although the initial deal will only run of a five-year period, the agreement also includes extension opportunities that could take the relationship up to 15 years.
ALC operates on behalf of the Canadian government in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, with the deal extending Scientific Games’ service presence to 70% of the provinces and all three territories in the country.
