Gaming machine supplier AGS has appointed Kimo Akiona as its new chief financial officer and treasurer.
Akiona will bring a host of experience to the role, having most recently served as senior vice-president and corporate controller and director of SEC reporting at Bally Technologies/SHFL Entertainment.
During a near-10-year stay at Bally/SHFL, he managed the global accounting function, which included teams in the US, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
Upon Akiona taking his new position at AGS, Curt Mayer will step down as chief financial officer after four years in the role.
“Kimo brings extensive strategic, financial, and accounting experience as well as a deep understanding of the gaming industry to his new role,” AGS chief executive officer David Lopez said.
“We are confident that his global experience and leadership qualities will benefit AGS and our customers as we manage our growing business.
“We thank Curt for his numerous contributions to AGS and wish him the very best in all of his future endeavours.”
