Swedish slots developer Quickspin has entered into a strategic partnership with Alderney-licensed software provider Relax Gaming to develop its own casino platform and remote gaming server. By having its own platform, Quickspin will be able to directly integrate its games and platform with operators via a remote gaming server, while Relax will be able to boost its distribution network and accelerate platform development.
Under the terms of the partnership, Relax will operate, develop, support and maintain the platform, as well as providing related services. It is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, Alderney Gambling Control Commission and UK Gambling Commission, with approval to be sought in more jurisdictions.
Quickspin is now working to integrate its entire games library and to roll out the platform for operators, with the first few games and companies set to go live in the second quarter.
“This is landmark deal for Quickspin and it is the next phase in our growth and expansion process,” Quickspin’s chief executive Daniel Lindberg commented. “There has been a very high demand from operators to be able to access all our games faster and more frequently.
“Through our new platform we will not only be able to serve operators with frequent multichannel releases of games, but also with a gaming platform comprising innovative gamification functionality. This will give operators a competitive edge and the tools they need to attract players and to increase their loyalty and yield.”
Relax Gaming CEO Patrik Österåker said that he saw the partnership as an “ideal catalyst” for the casino platform.
“Quickspin has a proven track record of stellar content and we feel there is a perfect match between the goals and cultures of the companies,” he explained. “I am excited that we now will be able to take the casino vertical to the next level, nicely complementing our upcoming bingo network and award-winning poker product.
“The long term partnership formed today will bring great returns for both parties over the coming years, it is truly a win-win setup,” Österåker added.
Lindberg said he had been impressed by Relax Gaming’s team, and the flexibility and scalability of its platform.
“As this will become our main route to market, we are now working aggressively to integrate our entire library of games and to roll out our new casino platform operators,” he added.
