Online daily fantasy sports operator Major League Fantasy has struck a new partnership with North American NBA basketball franchise the Golden State Warriors.
Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Major Fantasy League will become the presenting sponsor of the team’s 2015 training camp.
In addition, Ignite Farm, a marketing specialist and a gold alliance partner of the Warriors, will help to activate the new deal across television, radio, social media, online and in-arena campaigns.
Major Fantasy League will become the second fantasy gaming company to have entered into a partnership with the Warriors, with the team already having a deal in place with US fantasy sports operator DraftKings.
“We are always looking for ways to grow our current partnerships, and adding Major League Fantasy to our already successful partnership with Ignite Farm is a great way to do just that,” Warriors president and chief operating officer Rick Welts said.
“This partnership provides an additional opportunity for us to engage with our tremendous fan base while also providing a gold alliance partner additional benefits to their partnership with the team.”
Jesse Merl, founder of Major League Fantasy, added: “Our platform was entirely designed and engineered around the social nature of fantasy sports, and we can’t think of a fan base that’s better suited for the passionate, interactive experience on PlayMLF.com than Warrior fans.”
