Optimal Payments has integrated Jumio’s Netverify solution into its NETELLER stored value service, in a move designed to improve customer experience and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. The online and mobile ID document authentication service enables consumers to scan documents via mobile phone cameras and webcams, allowing identity checks to be completed in real-time.
The integration means customers will be able to make fast and secure payments in various sectors such as financial services, retail, travel, entertainment, gaming and digital content via the NETELLER service.
Optimal claims that Netverify has reduced NETELLER’s account verification process from an average of 12 hours to less than two hours, speeding up the procedure by more than 80 per cent. It has also cut the number of accounts that require manual reviews or additional checks by 50 per cent, the company said.
“Our account verification process is now 80 per cent quicker, making it faster and easier for customers to pay online,” NETELLER executive vice president Lorenzo Pellegrino commented. “Over three quarters of our account upgrades are now automatically processed through Jumio, saving hours of manual review time by our staff and benefiting our bottom line.”
