GECO, Sportradar and iSoftBet secure UK licences

The UK Gambling Commission has approved a further set of  new licences to operators and services providers, with GECO Gaming, Sportradar and iSoftBet among the latest suppliers to secure approval. Sportradar’s Betradar subsidiary has been approved to continue offering its virtual sports products to UK customers via XML feed integration and via its Remote Game Server, with the licence valid from March 30th onward.

“We’re delighted to have met the high quality standards set by the UKGC which at the same time underlines the quality of Betradar’s products,” Sportadar commercial director Neale Deeley commented. “This official license lets us look forward to expand and to offer great products and services to clients in the UK market.”

“Being a key market this was of high importance for us and we can now target further growth,” he added.

GECO, the company established through the merger of Wagermill and The Gaming Lab, has been awarded a UK licence, as well as securing a Category 2 licence from the Alderney Gaming Control Commission.

The company has already signed up a number of development partners such as CORE Gaming, The Games Co, BetDigital and The Games Warehouse, as well as operators such as William Hill, Betfair and Rank Interactive.

“More operators are signing up to GECO every week, so it’s a very exciting time for us,” GECO chief executive Mark Paling said. “We are also making GECO available to dozens more operators at a time by linking up with aggregators such as Virtue Fusion, OpenBet and NYX, while accessing multiple bingo networks through Spacebar Media.”

“We are welcoming on board both game developers and operators,” he said. “Initial connections are complete, with many more in progress and in the pipeline. GECO really is going to substantially shrink the distance between developers and operators.”

iSoftBet was also approved by the Gambling Commission, securing remote casino operating and software licences.

The supplier is also licensed in Alderney, Italy, Spain and Belgium, with its UK licence described as enhancing its position and reputation in the industry.

“The accreditation of our UK licence represents another landmark step in the commercial development of iSoftBet,” chief executive Nir Elbaz commented. “As a leader in providing innovative and exciting gaming products and advocates of responsible gambling, iSoftBet’s newest licence will allow the company to further boost its presence in regulated markets, and provide content to the thriving UK market.”
