The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported that the US state’s online gaming market achieved both year-on-year and month-on-month revenue growth during March.
Revenue from online gaming operators in the state amounted to $13.2 million (€12.4 million) in March, up 10.8% on the $11.9 million posted in the same month last year.
The March total also represents an increase on the $10.4 million recorded in February of this year.
The news will come as a boost to New Jersey operators after the state’s online gaming market suffered a drop in revenue in February.
Borgata, in partnership with online poker brand PartyPoker, continues to lead the internet gaming market in New Jersey, having generated $4.4 million in revenue during March, up from $3.7 million in February.
The DGE also revealed that the New Jersey wider gambling market was able to achieve growth in March.
Total gaming win from current operators amounted to $203.9 million, up 2.3% on the $199.3 million posted in the same month last year and approximately $25 million more than total revenue achieved in February of this year.
