The Delaware Lottery has revealed that operators within the US state’s regulated internet gambling market were able to report a month-on-month increase in online poker revenue during March.
Revenue for March was 26% higher than in February, a month in which the state also reported a 25% gain on the previous month.
The Delaware market has been boosted over the past month due to the launch of a shared online poker network with Nevada, one of only two other states that offers regulated internet gaming services.
Since its launch last month, the new network has allowed players in both states to connect and take part in internet poker gaming activities.
At the time of the launch, Delaware Governor Jack Markel suggested that the new network could help boost online poker activity in both states.
“We now offer an online poker option that is more competitive and more enjoyable for its users, thanks to this collaborative effort,” Markel said.
