Interactive gaming and betting solutions provider OpenBet has moved to expand its global presence with the acquisition of its previously outsourced Greek operation from Athens Technology Center (ATC).
Under the arrangement, the business unit has been integrated as OpenBet Hellas.
The move will enable OpenBet to increase its overall headcount by 25%, with the additional staff appointed to various development roles.
OpenBet said the acquisition will allow it to improve its ability to deliver and scale both its technology and services with a wider pool of talent and resources.
The integration will also enable OpenBet to increase investment in products and innovation to better support new business opportunities and existing customers, the latter of which will additionally benefit from enhanced flexibility in terms of expansion plans.
Jeremy Thompson-Hill, chief executive of OpenBet, said: “This deal concludes the plan originally set out – to provide a market-leading development resource that is immediately scalable and supports OpenBet’s need to efficiently recruit the right level of talent.
“Achieving this in more established geographies is becoming increasingly challenging, so this acquisition will give us a significant advantage in continuing to serve customers effectively.
“We have an ambitious plan for growth and we are proud to have secured such a fantastic addition to our team to continue to work alongside our other international offices.”
