Gaming software and services supplier Playtech has reportedly struck a deal to acquire online trading platform AvaTrade.
According to the Reuters news agency, the purchase exercises an option held a month ago when Playtech acquired online trader Markets.com.
Playtech, owned by Israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi, is also said to have held talks regarding further acquisitions in this sector.
Israeli website Financemagnates.com suggests that Sagi has visited Cyprus on numerous occasions to discuss a potential purchase of privately-owned retail broker IronFX.
Playtech is yet to officially comment on the reports regarding the AvaTrade deal or the potential acquisition of IronFX.
