A former player of Canbet Sportsbook has written Sportsbook Review and wants answers.
The player is among the many who lost their bankroll when the online sports betting website suspended service in December 2013.
New complaints are filed by the week as users who are realizing that their funds were lost and so many other players are in the same boat.
The Canbet Sportsbook player stated the following:
“I am owed £821 by Canbet and I am documenting this in the event that an acquisition materialises. I have had much correspondence with Canbet but I realise that my story will not be unlike many others. Please let me know where else (if anywhere) to document this and please keep me informed of any developments.
A conservative estimate by Sportsbook Review had the total debt pegged at least $1.5 million worth, and likely much more considering the many years the sports betting brand was in operation.
Canbet had slow paid for months and allegedly been operating in the red due to what former ownership called IT related problems and erroneous payouts on unearned bonuses.
