A BetFred Sportsbook (SBR rating B+) player has filed a complaint.
The player has stated that he opened his BetFred account two years and has made many deposits and withdrawals since.
When he opened his account originally, he used his friend’s computer to sign up because he said at the time his machine was not working.
Fast forward to late 2014, the player wagered on tennis player and present world number one Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon 2015.
A couple of weeks later, BetFred e-mailed the player stating that his account was going to be closed due to his “multiple registration”. He explained why he opened an account on a different computer, and also pointed out he had a pending wager.
He claimed BetFred gave him the option of cancelling the wager or leave it pending until it settles, at which point he could withdraw the winnings in July.
The wager cashed yesterday when Djokovic defeated Roger Federer at the Wimbledon final over four sets. The winning bet should have paid the player £46.
He logged into his BetFred account and attempted to request a withdrawal for the £46. The payout request was blocked by BetFred. He figured it was a misunderstanding, and forwarded the earlier correspondence which noted that the pending outright wager would have action.
He was told however that the wager would not have action due to the multiple account violation.
