Lotto24 boosted by ‘very strong’ Q2 in first half

German online lottery broker Lotto24 has revealed that its performance during the second quarter helped push its financial results for the first half of the year above initial expectations.

Revenue for the first half amounted to €6.1 million ($6.7 million), up over 80% on the €3.4 million achieved in the same six-month period last year.

Billings during the period also increased by more than 70% from €36.7 million last year to €62.6 million in the opening six months of 2015.

Lotto24 noted that these figures were significantly boosted by its performance during the second quarter of the year.

Second-quarter revenue hit €3.7 million, up more than 125% on the previous year, while billings also jumped by over 114% to €37.6 million.

The broker also revealed that total number of customers in the first six months of the year amounted to 730,000, up from just 372,000 in the same period last year.
