Delaware online gaming market continues to suffer in June

The Delaware Lottery has revealed the US state’s online gaming market was hit by further losses in June, with the internet poker sector suffering in particular.

Total online gaming revenue for the month amounted to $108,700 (€100,200), down 18.7% on the $133,700 posted in May and the $132,000 achieved in April.

The June figure also represents a year-on-year loss of 42% when compared with the amount posted in the corresponding month last year.

Delaware’s three licensed online poker services saw revenue from this form of gambling drop by 21.8% on a month-on-month basis to just under $30,700.

The total is the worst monthly results of the year so far, with the exception of January, when just $27,700 was collected by operators.

However, this figure is higher than the $25,600 posted in the same month last year – the lowest-ever monthly result for online poker in Delaware.
