Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (MTGA), operator of the Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino Hotel, will become the latest to enter the New Jersey iGaming market following the beta launch of its new Mohegan Sun-branded online gaming offering.
MTGA, which also operates the Mohegan Sun casinos in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, will enter the online arena for the first time through the launch of MoheganSunCasino.com.
Currently offline, its real-money gaming site will operate under Resorts Casino’s licence, alongside the ResortsCasino.com offering, and will also be powered by NYX Gaming’s SNG Interactive. In 2012 the company agreed a partnership with Ongame, then owned by Amaya and since acquired by NYX, to launch online poker.
In addition, MTGA has also agreed a deal with Scientific Games for a customized social casino platform via the supplier’s Play4Fun Network. This will include slot favourites from the Bally, Shuffle Master, and Williams game development studios, available across native iOS and Android applications.
“The MTGA is thrilled to launch what we believe has raised the bar in online gaming and stays true to our commitment to luxury, leisure and best-in-class practices,” said Bobby Soper, president of the MTGA. “Our goal is for MoheganSunCasino.com to become the premier online destination for both serious gamers and those who simply want to relax and have fun.”
MoheganSunCasino.com will offer players VIP rewards, offline comp dollar earnings and a daily spin wheel for an opportunity to win cash, prizes and one-night stays at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
“MoheganSunCasino.com is the latest example of our commitment to partnering with the world’s most trusted and respected brands to deliver the best gaming possible to our players,” said Morris Bailey, owner of Resorts Casino Hotel, a Mohegan Sun property. “We are excited to continue our venture into the iGaming world and introduce MoheganSunCasino.com as one of our online casino websites, offering top-notch features the world has come to know from Mohegan Sun.”
