Playboy Poker will close down its online gaming site later today, just two years after relaunching its offering on the Ongame Network.
Licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority via CryptoLogic Malta, the site operates through the Ongame Network.
rhThe original Playboy Poker offering had been shut down in 2009 by CryptoLogic but was re-launched in June 2013 by Amaya after it acquired the struggling Canadian software developer.
The site offers players the chance to win their way into the Midsummer Night’s Dream Party at the legendary Playboy Mansion, and also included access to various poker tournaments, Ongame’s fastfold poker game Strobe, and a range of online casino games.
Following the sale of CryptoLogic by Amaya to NYX Gaming, which also now owns Ongame, a decision has been made to shut down the Playboy Poker offering later today (July 27th).
“Playboy Poker is in the process of surrendering its gaming license, all players are advised to withdraw their funds from the site at their earliest convenience,” said a statement on its website.
Any players that fail to withdraw their funds before the end of today can email their request to support@playboypoker.com within 30 months, after which any unclaimed money will be forfeited.
