US casino operator Tropicana Entertainment has entered the social gaming market with the launch of TropWorld Casino, a new free-to-play app developed in partnership with Ruby Seven Studios.
The app features a range of slots, video poker and bingo games, with the usual social casino features such as free coins awarded daily, leaderboards and a chat feature. It also includes progressive tournaments that allow players to compete against one another.
Among the games available are free-to-play variants of popular real-money titles such as Multi-Strike Poker and Gems Wild Tiles. The app is available for Android, iOS and Amazon devices.
“We wanted to offer free, non-gambling games that a wide audience can enjoy,” Tropicana Entertainment president and chief executive Tony Rodio commented. “Players around the world will have fun with our TropWorld Casino app.”
The app has been developed in partnership with San Francisco-based social gaming studio Ruby Seven, with the companies agreeing to collaborate on TropWorld in April this year.
Ruby Seven founder and CEO Michael Carpenter said he was excited to bring the new products to Tropicana’s audience.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for players to engage with Tropicana Entertainment and enjoy completely free entertainment that really has new and unique qualities,” he explained. “These are outstanding games and we’re proud to share them.”
Tropicana Entertainment owns and operates eight casinos and resorts in Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Missouri, New Jersey and Aruba.
