A TonyBet Sportsbook (SBR rating D) player has filed a complaint with SBR.
The player deposited €50 recently and received a matching welcome bonus.
He wagered one time for his deposit plus bonus on a soccer game, his selection was the draw with the odds of 3.5 (+250). Following the wager, he was limited to €1 per bet.
Online sportsbooks are free to limit players as they see fit as SBR has reported in the past. However, the industry standard is that players who are given revised wagering limits which are so unreasonable that they cannot sufficiently complete their bonus obligation, are cut free and allowed to take a payout with a prorated portion of the bonus.
The player has noted that the €1 limit applies for all top soccer leagues, which is what he intended to wager with the online sportsbook. He feels that TonyBet’s handling of his limit and refusal to allow him to place a withdrawal and go on his way is a violation of good faith, and has asked SBR for assistance mediating his complaint.
Sportsbook Review will speak with TonyBet and ask the betting site to either revise the player’s limits and allow him to complete his play-through requirement, or cut him loose and prorate the bonus, paying his winnings.
TonyBet was added to the sportsbook rating guide in June at the mark of D. The sportsbook is located in Estonia.
TonyBet players in need of sportsbook assistance should file a complaint with SBR.
