Betsafe Sportsbook Player Asks SBR Community for Help

betsafeimageA Betsafe Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player has taken to the SBR posting forum to ask for help.

The player deposited £1,400 to Betsafe two months ago and after winning a few bets had his account blocked. The player stated that his ID documents provided to satisfy the KYC process were allegedly unsatisfactory, and he has no idea why.

He shared a chat transcript with Betafe which contained back and forth with a representative who could only say that the security department decided to block his account.

(Betsafe): This decision will not be changed. Your account has been closed and the winnings confiscated. I can not give out anymore information than that.

The player has been advised to file a complaint with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

SBR is purusing additional information from Betsafe concerning the winnings confiscation.

Often times, players who fail the KYC process do not take the correct next steps. Players should file a complaint with the gaming regulator if the sportsbook does not comply with SBR, and should actively get their photo ID and personally identifying documents notarized.
