New Jersey approves Caesars Interactive-Delaware Lottery agreement

New Jersey State’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has approved a deal that will allow Caesars Interactive Entertainment to host online gambling content from its Atlantic City server for the Delaware Lottery.

Under the arrangement, SG Interactive, a division of Scientific Games, will provide game content from servers based in Caesars’ Atlantic City data centre to the Delaware Lottery’s online platform.

The slot games made available through the partnership will only be available to online gamblers based in Delaware.

“This arrangement exemplifies a great collaborative effort between the Delaware Lottery, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Scientific Games, and Caesars Interactive Entertainment,” DGE director David Rebuck said.

New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada are currently the only US states that have legalised online gambling, but the new deal between Caesars Interactive Entertainment and the Delaware Lottery represents the first such arrangement across state borders.

Marco Ceccarelli, senior vice-president and chief information officer for Caesars Interactive, told the Associated Press news agency: “We are happy to do our part assisting regulators in New Jersey and Delaware and appreciate their progressive and innovative work to help continue to grow and push the regulated online gaming market forward in the United States.”
