Gaming software and platform provider EveryMatrix has confirmed that it has secured a licence to provide its software solutions to operators in the newly re-regulated Irish iGaming market.
EveryMatrix becomes the latest company, and one of the first software providers, to receive a licence from Ireland’s gaming regulator, the Irish Revenue Commissioners.
Last month the regulator awarded 27 licences to some of Europe’s biggest operators including the likes of bet365, William Hill, Coral and Paddy Power.
The granting of the new licences followed the signing into law of Ireland’s Betting (Amendment) Act 2015 in March. This updated and extended the country’s regulatory regime in relation to bookmakers licences, as provided for in the Betting Act 1931, to include remote betting operators who accept bets from Irish customers.
The licence approval will allow EveryMatrix to provide clients with software solutions that operate under the betting licence in Ireland, which includes sports betting and casino.

EveryMatrix has now been granted licences in four jurisdictions – Ireland, the UK, Malta and Curacao – and is currently in the process of obtaining betting and casino licences for the Danish market.
Online gaming operator NETBET also announced late last month that it had been awarded a licence in Ireland to offer sports betting and casino products to Irish customers.
The company had suspended its services while a new licence application was pending, and has now resumed operations in the country.
NetBet said that it is planning a big marketing push to support its newly legalised status, including a TV commercial campaign as well as offline promotions and special offers.
NetBet’s marketing manager Alexandre Mangaud said: “We are delighted to be able, once again, to offer our full range of online sports and casino products to customers in Ireland.
“The Republic of Ireland is an important market for us and it was important that, following new legislation, we could offer an unrestricted, fully licensed product. We thank our loyal customers for their patience and are excited to be resuming service to them – all existing customer logins are still valid and can be used without restriction.”
Ireland is the seventh regulated European territory for the company, who are also licensed in the UK, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Romania.
