Scientific Games pens long-term German lottery deal

Scientific Games has secured a deal to provide a selection of retail technology to the Verwaltungsgesellschaft Lotto und Toto in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.

The agreement will run for eight years, from 2015 until 2023, with the option of an additional two years.

Under the deal, Scientific Games will provide retail technology, including 600 terminals, as well as software and maintenance services.

Scientific Games has established a significant presence in Germany, having been supplying operators in the country with solutions since 1997.

“Building on nearly two decades of successful partnership with Scientific Games, we are very happy to continue with reliable, next-generation retail terminals for the Lottery’s retailers across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,” Verwaltungsgesellschaft Lotto managing director, Barbara Becker, said.

Matthias Mueller, managing director, Germany, at Scientific Games, added, “We appreciate the continued trust in our technology products and services and look forward to delivering new, upgraded terminals with easy-to-use application software and to our next decade of collaboration with the Lottery of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.”
