Sport Integrity Monitor links up with Romanian FA

Integrity solutions provider Sport Integrity Monitor (SportIM) has struck a partnership with the Romanian Football Federation national governing body.

Under the agreement, SportIM will assist the organisation in managing integrity for its competitions and work with the body to investigate any concerns.

SportIM will use its monitoring system to oversee betting activity on matches, with live and historic sports and betting data enabling the provider to identify anomalous patterns across the global betting market.

“The partnership with Sport Integrity Monitor is an extension to our wider education and prevention campaign, ‘Clean Football’,” Romanian Football Federation president Răzvan Burleanu said.

“These efforts clearly demonstrate our commitment to ensuring we do everything we can to secure a future in which players, fans and everyone involved in the sport are protected from any attempts of match-fixing.”

Mark Locke, chief executive of Sport Integrity Monitor, added: ‘‘Throughout our dealings with the Federation, it has been clear that integrity and the prevention of match fixing is of central importance.

“We are looking forward to supporting the good work that is already under way and to deploying our specialist solutions to ensure that this progress continues.”
